Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri praised both Eden Hazard and new loan signing Gonzalo Higuain following Saturday’s 5-0 win over Huddersfield and believes the pair complement each other well.
Hazard and Higuain both scored twice during the victory, with David Luiz grabbing the fifth, as Sarri’s men bounced back from a humiliating midweek defeat to Bournemouth against the Premier League’s bottom side.
And the Chelsea boss was pleased with how the pair combined in what was a pleasing day for the Blues.

The Blues were under pressure following the defeat to the Cherries, but started quickly and were ahead after 16 minutes, when Higuain netted his first goal for the club following his loan move from Juventus.
Hazard doubled Chelsea’s lead with a penalty on the stroke of half time, before putting the game beyond doubt with his second goal on 66 minutes.
Higuain netted his brace just three minutes later, before Luiz completed an emphatic victory for the Blues four minutes from time.
Speaking after the game, Sarri revealed he was pleased with the Blues’ performance and the manner in which his side started the game.
I think that we started really well in the first 20-25 minutes, I saw my football. We were dangerous every two minutes.
Chelsea move back up to fourth in the league following the win, three points above Arsenal who travel to Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
