Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has admitted his desire to make a permanent move to Italian club AC Milan, as reported on FourFourTwo.
The Frenchman is currently on loan at Milan and has put in some impressive performances in recent weeks after making a stuttering start to life in Italy.
The midfielder found it difficult to settle in initially but has now gained some confidence after cementing a first-team spot under manager Gennaro Gattuso.
When speaking about a possible permanent move, Bakayoko said:
It’s my dream [to stay], the thought fixed in my mind. But I have a contract with Chelsea.
[Milan chief] Leonardo says the deal is tied to the Champions League. I’m not in a position to talk about it. I just want to finish the season in fourth place, then we’ll think about it.
For me, he [Gattuso] is the boss and a nice person who has helped me a lot. In the first two or three months, when everything was not going well, we talked every day.
Now we understand each other with a glance and our relationship is perfect. He has a talent to show love to his players
Bakayoko struggled to live up to expectations after joining Chelsea from French side Monaco, but he seems to now have his career back on track at Milan.
