Chelsea and United enquire about summer deal for Barcelona star

Chelsea and Manchester United are among the teams to ‘ask about’ Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic.

According to the Spanish newspaper Sport, the player could be available during the summer transfer window, with his future at the Camp Nou looking bleak.

Rakitic has been heavily linked with moves away from the club after it was announced that Frenkie De Jong would be heading to La Liga at the end of the season.

The report claims that the club, at this moment are not looking to renew Rakitic’s contract at the club.

Paris Saint-Germain are also known admirers and the report claims that the French champions tried to sign the player during the previous summer window.

Barcelona are confident that they could demand a fee in the region of €65 million for the player.

Juventus, Bayern and Inter are also expected to monitor his situation at Barcelona over the coming months.
