Premier League side Wolves are watching Oliver Giroud’s situation at Chelsea closely following the arrival of Gonzalo Higuain.
According to freelance journalist Tim Nash, the Frenchman is one of a number of strikers on the club’s list of potential targets before the end of the January window.
Keen to add another striker to their ranks, Wolves are looking at Giroud, Liverpool’s Divock Origi and Southampton’s Charlie Austin, according to Nash.
Giroud has been limited to a bit-part role at Chelsea this season and the arrival of Higuain on loan from Juventus only casts further doubts to the amount of playing time he will get during the second half of the season.
Since Higuain’s arrival, Giroud has hinted that he could return to France in the near future, but Wolves may look to offer him a Premier League lifeline.
The striker has always impressed in spells for Chelsea but has never been afforded the luxury of a run of games at Stamford Bridge.
