Chelsea star closing in on move to Spain

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is closing in on a move to Sevilla as he seeks an exit from Stamford Bridge.

According to Tutto Mercato, via The Mirror, Morata is on the verge of sealing a switch to Sevilla.

The forward has been heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea, with Maurizio Sarri’s side also looking to replace him this month.

Gonzalo Higuain and Edinson Cavani are thought to be on Sarri’s wishlist, as he hopes to sign a new number nine to help Chelsea’s top four challenge.

Morata, however, did score twice for Chelsea at the weekend as they beat Championship side Nottingham Forest in the third round of the FA Cup.

The Spaniard has nine goals in 24 games this season, with five of those coming in the Premier League.

The report claims that Morata is keen on the transfer and wants to leave Chelsea before the end of the window.
