According to a report in the Telegraph, Chelsea have just another ten days to decide what they want to do with Tammy Abraham.
The talented youngster is currently on loan at Aston Villa for the season, but, due to a clause added to his contract, he can be recalled by his parent club, should they so wish, during the first two weeks of the January transfer window.
Wolves, due to a lack of current in-form strikers, want to sign Abraham on loan for the rest of the season, before splashing the cash on him during the summer.
Under current FIFA regulations, a player can only play for two clubs a season, but Nuno Espirito Santo is confident that the 21-year-old will be able to feature for them, despite having already played for two teams (Chelsea and Villa). This is because they feel that the U-23 match shouldn’t count as an official game, nor should the Community Shield.
Villa don’t think that they will need to wait another ten days to find out whether they’re going to get to keep their top scorer, and remain hopeful that Chelsea will not cut the loan short.
