Spurs could beat Chelsea and Arsenal to Serie A star with €52m bid

Tottenham are hoping to steal the march in the race to sign Cengiz Under, with reports suggesting the Arsenal and Chelsea target could be the subject of a €52 million offer.

According to reports in Italy, Mauricio Pochettino’s men are ready to pay big money to secure his signature, with interest in his services rising around Europe.

The Roma winger has been heavily linked with moves to the Premier League in recent weeks, with both Arsenal and Chelsea known admirers.

Both clubs recently sent scouts to watch the player during Roma’s Serie A clash with Inter.

After not signing a single player during the previous summer transfer window, Tottenham are expected to be busy both in January and at the end of the season.

Roma are reportedly desperate to keep hold of Under beyond January and are likely to reject any offers until the summer before cashing in.

Under has attracted a wealth of interested this season, with Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich also believed to be keen on signing him at the end of the seaosn.
