Maurizio Sarri has set his sights on bringing Gonzalo Higuain to Chelsea in January, according to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
Sarri has grown frustrated with the form of misfiring duo Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud this season, with added quality in attack required.
Higuain has suffered an injury-plagued time of things at AC Milan since joining on loan in the summer, however, scoring just five Serie A goals.
Despite this, Sarri seems keen to sign the man who led the line for him at Napoli, prior to controversially joining Juventus in 2016.

The 31-year-old is still a Juve player, so Chelsea would also need their blessing if a potential deal was to go through.
Fellow journalist Luca Marchetti believes Morata could even head to Milan, with Higuain going the other way.
It would be an exciting signing for Chelsea, even though the striker’s best days are slightly behind him.
The Argentine has been one of the leading strikers of his generation and is still at an age where he can offer plenty.
Whether a transfer manages to be agreed remains to be seen, but it would give Chelsea the extra firepower required to try and stay in the Premier League title race.
