Manchester United star David de Gea is reportedly willing to stay at the club if his one condition is met.
The Spaniard is arguably the club’s only world-class player but isn’t happy with how much he earns currently.
The goalkeeper arrived from Atletico Madrid in 2011 and has been a mainstay in the starting XI after the long forgotten shaky start.
De Gea has consistently saved United from poor results and considering how they’re currently in seventh place, it’s scary to imagine they would be without him.
However, fans may not need to imagine that with reports linking him with a move away from the club despite Jose Mourinho attempting to reassure everyone that the keeper will stay.
According to Sports Illustrated, The Times report that David wants to be made the Red Devils’ highest paid player or he will leave for free when his already triggered contract extension runs out in the summer of 2020.
Considering the 28 year old is the best player at the club it makes sense that he should be the best paid as well.
De Gea also could’ve kicked up a fuss when his dream move to Real Madrid didn’t happen yet he’s remained professional and loyal so far.
