Ex-Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has told the club to consider a move for West Ham forward Marko Arnautovic.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Cascarino encouraged his former side to raid the Hammers when the January window opens.
You know the one player I’d really want to take? Arnautovic – I’d take him in a heartbeat. I think he’d fit perfectly into Chelsea.
The thing with Arnautovic – he reminds me of that Eric Cantona mindset. He thinks he’s good enough to be up there at the top table, and he is.
Chelsea are looking increasingly likely to sign a striker in the new year and have been linked with big-money moves to sign Callum Wilson.
Arnautovic has been linked with moves away from West Ham, but rumours surrounding his future have cooled in recent weeks.
The Austrian was supposedly a target for Manchester United during Jose Mourinho’s time at the club, while there was also believed to be interested clubs in Italy.
The 29-year-old has scored five times in the Premier League this season and registered a further two assists.
Alvaro Morata continues to struggle in front of goal at Stamford Bridge, meaning Eden Hazard is being forced to take the mantle as a central striker until a replacement can be signed.
