Chelsea and Manchester United have been warned that they will have to pay Eder Militao’s buy-out clause if they want to sign him.
According to a report from football.london, Porto are desperate to keep hold of the player and will demand that any potential suitors pay his release clause in full to secure a deal.
Porto are aware of the rising interest and want to ensure that they are not left short-changed.
Both Manchester United and Chelsea have reportedly entered the race to sign the Brazilian, who has been catching the eye with his performances in Portugal.
Militao can play either as a right-back or as a central defender and his versatility is said to be attracting Jose Mourinho, with the United boss keen to add to his defence.
Maurizio Sarri is equally as keen to strengthen at the back, with the Italian often lambasting Chelsea’s ability to defend this season.
The back four is likely to be an area targetted by the Chelsea head coach when the transfer window rolls around in January.
