Unai Emery has revealed what he wants to see Alex Iwobi do next after his impressive Liverpool cameo (via Arsenal.com).
He’s been one of the standout players from a standout season for the Gunners but head coach Unai Emery has insisted that there is more to come from Alex Iwobi.
The Nigerian international hasn’t been the best performing player for the Gunners in recent years but has had a stellar few months for the club.
That continued on Saturday when Iwobi came off the bench to grab an important assist but head coach Unai Emery now wants Iwobi to make the next step.
“Iwobi can impact highly in the match, also in the beginning of the match when we play with him starting on the bench.
“His energy is important, his quality. But he can do better also. He scored against Chelsea, there’s been a lot of matches, I want him to be nearer the box to score more and I think that he can.
“I think he is very young and he is improving, but I have ambition because he can do more.”
