Benfica’s Joao Felix would be Maurizio Sarri’s dream signing at Chelsea, according to reports in Portugal.
As per claims from O Jogo, as cited on Sport Witness, the Chelsea head coach is reportedly a huge admirer of the player, amid suggestions he could launch a move to sign him.
The Portuguese report cites Felix’s ‘technical capacity and creativity’ as the two traits that appeal to the Chelsea head coach.
The £45 million-rated playmaker has been linked with moves to Stamford Bridge in recent days.
Benfica remain desperate to keep hold of the player who is regarded as one of their hottest prospects.
It has been suggested the Portuguese side could look to renew his deal and increase his release clause even further.
Chelsea were keen to sign a creative midfielder over the summer and were heavily linked with Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski, but instead signed Mateo Kovacic on loan from Real Madrid.
