Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was as frustrated with his players as the fans were, admitting there wasn’t enough intensity in their play.
The Portuguese manager watched on in vain as his stars limped to a dire goalless draw with Crystal Palace as they dropped points they couldn’t afford to.
Mourinho’s time at the club continues to appear to be heading toward an end and he’s definitely running out of time to turn things around.
United desperately need to go on a winning run to get into the top four let alone challenge for the title but looked toothless against Palace at Old Trafford.
Jose switched to a 4-2-3-1 formation to try to spark his team into grabbing all three points but unfortunately it wasn’t enough.
Mourinho: “It is a bad result, I would say very bad result. It’s two points that we lost. The objective was in the eight matches until the end of December to recover positions, to get close to the top four and in the end we lost two points.” #mufc [MEN]

Mourinho: “We gave them time to breathe. We weren’t intense. It looked like we were waiting for things to happen and they didn’t happen.” #mufc [MEN]

The Red Devils lack of penetration is definitely worrying, more so when they’re dominating possession as they did earlier today.
The more time passes the more it seems as though the only thing left to do to save the club’s season is to move Mourinho on.
Zinedine Zidane is said to be the man the Manchester United hierarchy are looking to turn to but other reports claim he’s gunning for the Juventus job instead.
