Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has been named as the eighth best manager in world football by FourFourTwo.
The Blues boss is listed behind Pep Guardiola, Zinedine Zidane, Diego Simeone, Max Allegri, Jurgen Klopp Didier Deschamps and Mauricio Pochettino and Maurizio Sarri.
Despite having not yet won a major trophy as a manager, Sarri’s stock has continued to rise and he earned a lot of praise for how Napoli performed last season.
The 59-year-old has yet to taste defeat as Chelsea manager too, and his side look like realistic challengers for the Premier League title.
FourFourTwo said of Sarri:
There’s no denying that for the past few seasons he has been a revelation, transforming Napoli into one of Europe’s most beloved sides. Their intricate passing and speedy interplay – an approach labelled ‘Sarrismo’ on the peninsula – was so breathtaking that Chelsea swooped this summer.
Sarri will be keen to finally win a trophy with the Blues this season as he looks to make an immediate impact as Chelsea manager.
