Bayer Leverkusen have ruled out the possibility of selling Chelsea and Manchester United target Leon Bailey in January.
Speaking to Bild, as cited on Goal, the club’s sporting director Jonas Boldt has confirmed that the Jamaican winger will remain with the Bundesliga outfit in the new year.
Boldt reveals that the club are anticipating the player moving on in the near future, but they remain confident about keeping hold of him for the time being.
We all know that Leon will eventually go, but we have made it clear that a winter change is out of the question, and he also knows that he has our backing.
Bailey has been heavily linked with a move away from Leverkusen, with Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Manchester United all touted as potential suitors to sign the player.
Liverpool and Manchester City have also been credited with an interest in the past.
The winger has long been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, with reports suggesting he could be one of the Blues’ top priorities heading into the January window.
