There is ‘serious’ interest in Manchester United’s in-form young striker Anthony Martial, as per reports in Italy.
The Frenchman has been regularly linked with Serie A champions Juventus, who have won the last seven consecutive league titles.
Martial seemed certain to leave Man United in the summer, or at least seemed likely to make an exit by next summer, but his recent form and improvement in attitude and thus the relationship with manager Jose Mourinho means he should stay.
However, Italian website Tutto Mercato indicate that Martial’s contract situation at Old Trafford is being closely monitored by a number of clubs in Serie A.
That includes previously linked Juventus, but also Inter Milan and AC Milan who have been interested in Martial for some time.
The Italian outlet claim that those three potential suitors are ‘serious’ about signing Martial.
Despite that, the report concedes that United remain confident of tying Martial down to a new deal, whose current deal expires in the summer.
United do, however, have an option to extend Martial’s deal by 12 months if needed. It’s thought that he’s recently turned down an offer from the club and is demanding more money given the recent huge deal given to Luke Shaw.
