Manchester United star Romelu Lukaku has revealed what Jose Mourinho did to the players after the recent win against Newcastle.
The Portuguese boss was visibly ecstatic following the comeback victory but he was apparently rather toned down with the players themselves.
Mourinho was said to have been on his way out of the club regardless of the result against Newcastle on Saturday.
Thankfully he grabbed all three points and has seemingly rescued his job for the time being but will have a difficult fixture list following the international break.
United face the likes of Chelsea and Juventus after two weeks time and will need a fully fit and firing squad to grab the much needed wins.
According to Metro, Romelu said: “The manager didn’t say too much after the game and shook everybody’s hand.”
Perhaps Jose was unhappy with his players following the win as they initially put him through hell by conceding two goals to Newcastle at home within the first 10 minutes of the clash.
The former Chelsea manager’s substitutions, tactical tweaks and half-time team-talk managed to turn the game around as they scored three goals in the last 20 minutes of the clash.
Many fans had commented on how the players appeared to give up on their manager in the first half but thankfully they recovered.
