Real Madrid have reportedly set their sights on former Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte amid increasing pressure on Julen Lopetegui.
The Daily Mail, who cite reports from Spanish outlet AS, claim Madrid could be forced into a mid-season change after four games without a win.
The report claims that the 52-year-old could be given until the end of the month to turn the club’s fortunes around.
Lopetegui, who replaced Zinedine Zidane over the summer, has struggled to adapt to life back in club football.
With the La Liga champions also struggling in front of goal after losing Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus, pressure is mounting on the former Spain boss.
Conte has been out of work since leaving Chelsea was linked with the Real Madrid job over the summer.
He has since been linked with the likes of Milan and Roma but is yet to take his next job in football after leaving London.
The Italian is still being paid by Chelsea for the final year of his contract, which means that Real Madrid would be forced into negotiating with the Blues if they want to hire Conte.
