Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey has been told to avoid a future move to Chelsea for as long as Eden Hazard remains at the club.
Ex-Premier League goalkeeper Shaka Hislop believes that the Belgian could prevent the Jamaican winger from flourishing at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking about a potential move to the Premier League, as reported by the Daily Star, Hislop feared that a move now could scupper Bailey’s development as a player.
I think Hazard is going to be there for a while. He’s playing well, I think he’s enjoying his football. I felt that if Hazard was leaving Chelsea and soon, it would have been the summer just gone. It hasn’t happened.
Leon Bailey is enjoying life in Germany and let that continue. There’s no rush to get to Chelsea so you can say that Eden Hazard is your team-mate. If you aren’t playing, you aren’t learning or growing in the game.
Bailey has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League and specifically, Chelsea.
The likes of Liverpool and Arsenal have also briefly been linked with a move for the player.
It has been claimed that the winger would prefer to join Chelsea over other potential suitors.
The Leverkusen star has been one of the top performers in the Bundesliga in recent seasons and is widely expected to move on in the near future.
