Manchester United star Romelu Lukaku has revealed what Jose Mourinho told his players at half-time, claiming he made the team humble.
The Belgian was on the scoresheet for his side in the 2-1 win over Watford but at the break the score read 2-0.
United could and should have had more goals to their name but their sloppiness in the second half saw the home side creep back into the game.
Thankfully Lukaku and his teammates held on for the win as well as all three points that prove crucial to the table.
Mourinho would’ve been the happier of the two manager’s at half-time but apparently it wasn’t all smiles.
Lukaku: “The manager said to us at half time we were playing well, but not great, he made us humble at half time. We grinded the result out. We need to catch the teams above us.” #mufc [BT]

It was Chris Smalling who grabbed what eventually proved to be the winner for the Red Devils, scoring a goal that was arguably better than Romelu’s.
The Belgian netted using his stomach (of all body parts) but won’t care a bit since it still counted as a goal.
Though it appears Jose said the right thing at half-time it wasn’t enough to spur them on to an easier victory.
Manchester United had played decently in the first half but needed to push on in the second to truly cruise to a win.
