Club expect Spaniard to turn down Chelsea's interest and sign new deal

Milan are hopeful that Chelsea target Suso will put pen to paper on a new deal at the club.

Reports in Italy claim that the player is expected to sign a new deal at the San Siro in the future, ending rumours of a move away from the club.

Suso was heavily linked with a big-money exit from the Italian outfit during the summer when it appeared that Milan may have needed to cash in on the former Liverpool man.

Chelsea were among the clubs to be linked with the player, with Maurizio Sarri a known admirer.

Roma and Napoli were also believed to be possible destinations for the Spaniard, who has emerged as a key player at Milan in recent years.

Securing the player’s long-term future will come as a huge boost to Milan as they seek a return to the Champions League in the not too distant future.
