According to Goal, Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is getting annoyed by the constant comparisons between Antonio Conte’s Chelsea and the team of current manager Maurizio Sarri.
Sarri, who is trying to get his players to play with a new style, has got off to a fantastic start in England with three wins from his opening three matches against Huddersfield, Arsenal, and Newcastle, respectively.
Rudiger has played in every game so far this season and he is content with the progress that is being made under Sarri, and the 25-year-old Germany international wants to focus on the present and forget the past.

During an interview after the 2-1 win against Newcastle at St. James’ Park, he said:
Stop comparing. I don’t want to speak about the past. As you can see, we do a lot of ball possession and try to press high. Yeah, that’s a good sign. It meant we are ready – it was a difficult game but in the end, with a bit of luck, we fully deserved this win. But if you saw the whole game, I wouldn’t say it’s luck. Game-by-game I think it’s getting better and that’s our target. Before the internationals, we’ll try to win all of our games and then come back after and go on. At the end of the day, the three points are more important because the performances will definitely come. If I saw this game and the game against Arsenal, in the first half and last 20 minutes we’re improving. But, for me, especially for everyone, three points are important.”
