Manchester United’s transfer for Barcelona’s Yerry Mina has reportedly fell through following a complication meaning they may have to turn their attention elsewhere.
It was believed the Colombian had agreed personal terms with Jose Mourinho’s side as he edged closer towards completing the move.
A transfer fee was said to be in the midst of being agreed upon and it was understood there wouldn’t be any issues as Barcelona were open to selling.
Even though it looked fairly straightforward from there it seems something stopped the transfer happening with the summer window set to shut within the week.
Now United will need to look to sign yet another centre-back after failing to secure Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld or Leicester’s Harry Maguire.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Sun report the Red Devils’ £35m move for Yerry fell through after a disagreement with agent fees.
Though it’s not stated in the report, it could be that the transfer won’t happen because Mourinho has managed to have a breakthrough with Alderweireld.
It was believed the transfer wouldn’t happen but recent claims state the centre-back is just 48 hours away from making the move to Old Trafford.
Some fans believed the moves for Maguire and Mina were a smokescreen for the club to get who they truly wanted- Tottenham’s Toby.
