Manchester United fans were definitely encouraged by Fred’s debut for the club against Leicester City in the Premier League opener.
The Brazilian was a part of the starting XI that went out at Old Trafford and did enough to impress the supporters.
The midfielder was Jose Mourinho’s only major signing of the summer with the other two being back-up goalkeeper Lee Grant and youngster. Diogo Dalot.
United won 2-1 thanks to goals from Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw who grabbed the first senior goal of his career.
Fred will certainly feel he’s got plenty to build on in terms of his performance and supporters are excited to see more of him on the field.
A lot of reactionary criticism over Fred’s performance, but think he’s actually done well so far. He’s coming from the Ukrainian league, of course it’s going to take time to adjust. He needs to play as much as possible. A bit overexcited, but glimpses of quality.

Fred will definitely need time to adjust to his new surroundings and it doesn’t help he’s in a side that isn’t completely starting it’s strongest eleven.
Nonetheless, as the weeks go by and players start to return, the former Shakhtar Donetsk man should start to feel more comfortable.
His excellent technical talent was on display and his work-rate was impressive too but it was his range of passing that came as a surprise.
Fred will also hopefully have pressure taken off his shoulders by Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic when the Serbian returns.
