Former Manchester United man Paul Ince feels the club’s current situation is seeing them become the laughing stock of the Premier League.
Jose Mourinho’s men suffered a shock loss to Brighton on Sunday whilst their rivals continue to pick up points.
Despite it still being early in the season, the Portuguese manager’s future is already up in the air.
A lack of genuine transfers coupled with a poor pre-season and frustrating start to the campaign has seen things go from bad to worse for United.
Ince though still feels they will still make top four but is not enjoying how his former club look like at the moment.
According to Manchester Evening News, Paul said: “Other clubs and fans are having a field day at the minute, seeing what is happening at Man United.
“They’re becoming a laughing stock, and falling behind. They finished second last season, and will probably make the top four this year, but is that what they should be striving for? No.
“Realistically, their goal should be to win the Premier League. But they just cannot compete with Manchester City or Liverpool at the minute.”
Some fans even feel a top four spot may be a tough ask this season due to what’s been going on lately.
Manchester City have started with intentions to win the league along with Liverpool and Chelsea.
Tottenham still look decent despite not making any signings and Arsenal have strengthened in the summer along with having a change in manager.
Top four should certainly be the minimum but supporters are not happy with the low aim and feel the board haven’t done enough to suggest they even want regular title challenges.
