Thibaut Courtois is desperately attempting to force his way out of Chelsea this summer, according to an exclusive report from the Telegraph.
The Belgian international has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent weeks and it seems he is looking to depart Chelsea in the near future, with the Telegraph claiming that he has, in recent times, gone AWOL.
Courtois was due to return to Chelsea for pre-season training ahead of the campaign’s curtain-raiser this weekend following his exploits at the World Cup with Belgium.
Maurizio Sarri had been looking to stage talks with Courtois to discuss his future at the club this week, but it seems the former Atletico Madrid loanee has not been receptive to his new manager’s wishes.
Chelsea do not want to let Courtois leave without having a replacement in line.
However, with the goalkeeper having made fresh, significant attempts to force a move away from Stamford Bridge, the Blues could be forced into making a decision over Courtois’ future.
