Reports suggest that Arsenal and Besiktas have agreed on a €1.5 million loan fee for David Ospina’s seemingly impending move (via Sport Witness).
Arsenal have already sent one goalkeeper out on loan today and it seems as if another one could do the same.
David Ospina may not have rejoined Arsenal training after the World Cup but it seems as if he may not have to if these reports are to be believed.
Turkish publication Takvim have claimed that Arsenal and Besiktas have agreed on a €1.5 million for the season-long loan of Ospina.
It’s unclear whether that deal includes any obligation to buy but the Turkish side are in need of a new number one after selling their former first-choice goalkeeper Fabri to Fulham last week.
Ospina has made 70 appearances for Arsenal since his 2014 move from French side OGC Nice but the arrival of Bernd Leno has seemingly ended that.
David Ospina was always expected to leave the club this summer and it seems as if we may now know where he will be heading. Besiktas is a good fit for the player but a one-year loan deal seems pointless given that the player only reportedly has a year left on his current contract.
