It was a chance for Unai Emery to try and get one over on his former employers and looking back, that’s exactly what happened.

The Spaniard put out a combative Arsenal side which took the game to their opponents.

The Gunners grabbed a first-half lead through captain Mesut Ozil but PSG drew level on the hour mark via the penalty spot.

The substitutes came in droves for both sides with the difference being that Arsenal’s reserves performed better.

Alexandre Lacazette made it 2-1 before his header hit the post and created an easy chance for Eddie Nketiah to make 3-1.

Rob Holding made it 4-1 with a wonderful looping header before Nketiah raced through in added time to grab a fifth for Arsenal.
