Manchester City have moved ahead of Chelsea and Barcelona in the race to sign Miralem Pjanic from Juventus, according to claims from Italian news outlet Sport Mediaset.
Pjanic is being heavily touted with a summer exit from Juve and the Blues have been linked with a swoop for the Bosnian international in recent times.
It’s thought that Maurizio Sarri is keen to add several players from Serie A to his Chelsea squad this summer, with Juve pair Gonzalo Higuain and Daniele Rugani also emerging as top targets.

However, it seems Chelsea will need to up their efforts if they are to sign Pjanic from Juventus this summer, with City allegedly now leading the chase.
The 28-year-old has previously been claimed to have identified Barcelona as his dream destination, but Sport Mediaset indicate that Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side are currently prepared to cough up the more lucrative financial proposal.
It’s claimed in the report that Guardiola has even been in contact with Pjanic already to discuss a potential switch.
