Chelsea line up shock swoop for World Cup winner

Chelsea have reportedly identified Lyon’s Nabil Fekir as a possible replacement for Eden Hazard.

Le Progres, as cited on Get French Football News, reports that Fekir is due to be offered a new deal at the club, amid interest from Chelsea and Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have been heavily linked with a move for the Frenchman throughout the summer.

The Reds have reporteldy agreed a deal to sign Fekir, but the deal fell through at the last minute.

The 25-year-old was on the verge of joining the Anfield club, with an interview ready for his unveiling before the move collapsed.

Hazard is being heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid following Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit.

The La Liga giants are expected to pursue the Belgian as his replacement at the Bernabeu, with Hazard never hiding his intention to join Real at some stage in his career.
