Chelsea defender keen to stay at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea defender David Luiz is keen to stay at the club this summer, amid speculation over his future.

According to The Mirror, Luiz is eager to fight for his place after the arrival of Maurizio Sarri.

Luiz looked set to leave Chelsea this summer after he was frozen out of the first-team by Antonio Conte last season.

Conte fell out with Luiz in the early part of the campaign, with the defender going on to make two Premier League appearances.

Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli are all thought to be interested in signing Luiz, but he wants to remain at Stamford Bridge.

Luiz has played his part for Sarri in pre-season and looks set to be given a chance to revive his career at Chelsea.

The central defender was named in the Premier League team of the season for Chelsea in the 2016/17 campaign.
