Manchester United reserve keeper Ilias Moutha-Sebtaoui has joined Anderlecht on a permanent deal after struggling for game time last season.
The Dutchman joined the club’s academy from Standard Liege in 2015 and only managed two starts in the UEFA Youth league this season, with Kieran McKenna – recently promoted to Jose Mourinho’s staff – preferring Alex Fojticek and Matej Kovar.
Moutha-Sebtaoui has been edging towards the exit door for some time, playing in a friendly with Anderlecht at Brentford back in April.
And according to Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur, the 19-year-old will return to his homeland on a permanent basis after training with Anderlecht for some time.

The departures of Sam Johnstone and Dean Henderson over the summer, combined with Sergio Romero‘s injury and David de Gea‘s World Cup commitments, could leave a serious goalkeeping vacancy at Man United over the summer, with Joel Pereira – Jose Mourinho’s third choice – the only player guaranteed to be at Carrington on the first day of pre-season.
And Moutha-Sebtaoui may have decided to stay and push for a place higher up the goalkeeping ladder if it weren’t for being unable to secure a regular place in the Under 18s. He is miles down the pecking order and finding a new club only seems logical.
