Chelsea are unlikely to part ways with Ruben Loftus-Cheek this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
However, another loan spell away from Stamford Bridge seems entirely possible for the 22-year-old.
Spending the 2017/18 season on loan at Crystal Palace, Loftus-Cheek made the most of regular minutes in the Premier League to secure a place in England’s World Cup squad.
An impressive substitute appearance against Tunisia was rewarded with a start in England’s 6-1 destruction of Panama, and the youngster looks poised to play a critical part in the Russian campaign.
Understandably, the midfielder is seeking to avoid spending next season on the bench in West London. Chelsea are not looking to wave goodbye to the phenom just yet though, as they still consider him integral to their future plans.
Instead, another loan move beckons for Loftus-Cheek.
Supposedly incoming manager Maurizio Sarri is sure to make his own assessment of the Lewisham-native, who has three years remaining on his current Blues contract.
Vying for a place next to N’Golo Kante in the Chelsea starting XI, Loftus-Cheek would face competition from fellow-countryman Danny Drinkwater, Tiemoue Bakayoko, and Cesc Fabregas.
