Chelsea monitoring the progress of Napoli youngster

Chelsea are said to be keeping tabs on Napoli midfielder Amadou Diawara with concerns over the long-term future of N’Golo Kante.

Reports from Paris United in France have claimed that the Napoli star is one of the players Chelsea could swoop for this summer if Paris Saint-Germain approach the Blues for Kante.

Diawara becomes the latest Napoli player to be linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, with Maurizio Sarri the club’s preferred choice to replace Antonio Conte.

The midfielder is very much seen as one for the future in Naples, having only played in a rotational role under Sarri last season.

Piotr Zielinski, Gonzalo Higuain, Elseid Hysaj and Kalidou Koulibaly have all been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge with reports suggesting a deal to bring Sarri to London is picking up pace once again.

There had been concerns that a deal to hire Sarri had fallen through, with his departure from Naples complicating the process, all while Conte remains in charge at Chelsea.
