Juventus are putting plans in place to replace Chelsea target Daniele Rugani this summer, with the Old Lady considering a move for Matthijs de Ligt.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, as cited by Calcio Mercato, the Turin side want the Ajax youngster if Chelsea do pursue their interest in the Italian defender.
De Ligt is one of the brightest prospects of European football and is valued at roughly €50 million by Ajax.
Rugani has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge should Maurizio Sarri take the job this summer.
The former Napoli boss is a huge admirer of the defender, who could be allowed to leave Juventus this summer with game time not guaranteed.
Reports in Italy suggested that Chelsea had lodged a bid for the player, but those claims have since been played down by the defender’s agent.
Rugani was a player that Sarri tried to sign during his time at Napoli, having worked with him closely at Empoli.
