Agent flies into London to finalise Chelsea deal

The agent of former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri is said to be in London to finalise his move to Chelsea.

Sky Sports claim that a source close to the manager has confirmed the Italian’s agent is in the capital with a deal appearing to be close.

Sarri has been Chelsea’s number one target to replace Antonio Conte this summer and has agreed terms to sign a two-year deal.

Conte is expected to leave Stamford Bridge shortly after the Blues agreed a compensation package for the 48-year-old and the other members of his coaching staff.

Chelsea and Napoli have remained in negotiations over a fee for the manager, despite the Naples side hiring Carlo Ancelotti as his replacement.

Several Napoli players, including Elseid Hysaj and Dries Mertens, are being linked with moves to the Premier League side, following Sarri to Stamford Bridge with Chelsea yet to make a major signing this summer.
