Louis van Gaal has once more slammed the Manchester United hierarchy and admitted disappointment with them after revealing they failed to get him top players.
During his time at the club the Dutchman signed 11 first team players over a two year period but is apparently unhappy none the less.
Van Gaal’s main top signings were Bastian Schweinsteiger, Radamel Falcao and Angel di Maria but it’s fair to say neither of the transfers worked out in the long run.
Sir Alex Ferguson had admitted at the time that shuffling the pack was the right thing to do by the former Bayern man as he oversaw a mass exodus of players.
However, it was apparently not enough and though many criticise him now for signing average players, he insists his main targets weren’t chased.
According to Metro, Louis said: “I asked many, many times for players of the highest quality. But I didn’t get the players I wanted.
“I’m disappointed in certain human beings at United — and they know I’m disappointed.
“I am an emotional guy, I say too much in interviews. I am always authentic. You see what you see with me.”
Matteo Darmian, Daley Blind and Morgan Schneiderlin amongst others were brought in by Louis van Gaal and it’s clear to see none of these signings worked out either.
The Italian wasn’t as solid as expected, the former Ajax star has failed to nail down a spot regularly while the Everton man was moved on at the earliest opportunity.
Anthony Martial, Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo are Van Gaal’s saving grace though they’re not the best examples of top signings either.
