Pundit claims Klopp is better than Mourinho in this one aspect

Steve Nicol has made the rather bold claim that Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp is better than Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.

The debate about which of the top six clubs have the best manager has long been going on with fans of each club believing they’ve got the best.

Chelsea’s Antonio Conte won the Premier League just last season but he’s already been forgotten about with Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola running away with the title this campaign.

Mourinho’s bulging trophy cabinet always sees him amongst the debate while Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger has the longevity point to make.

Still though, Nicol has focused on Klopp and Jose and suggests that the football being played is enough proof of who’s the better manager.

According to the Sport Review, Steve said to ESPN: “The brand of football that Klopp wants to play is a better brand and more entertaining than Mourinho.”

Jose Mourinho has come in for some serious criticism this season, not only due to results or brand of football but also for his man management.

Luke Shaw and Paul Pogba have been the two high profile cases that have gone public with the pair’s future both rather uncertain.

Although it’s the Englishman who looks more likely to leave, it could be that Pogba’s frustration will see him cherry pick his next club.

Either way only time will tell whether the player or manager was right but at the moment things very much stand in the balance.

In terms of the success Mourinho can achieve this season the FA Cup is United’s only chance of silverware to go alongside the small glory of qualifying for the Champions League.

It appears as though that would be enough to see him hold onto his job but everyone will be expecting the Portuguese manager to win the title next season.
