Manchester United star Romelu Lukaku’s injury is not as bad as fans may have initially feared with signs pointing to a less complicated injury.
The Belgian international asked to be substituted during the match against Arsenal and supporters were worried it could mean he would miss the FA Cup final against Chelsea.
Lukaku didn’t manage to score against the Gunners though he did have a decent performance in a game that saw Marouane Fellaini score the winner in injury time.
United weren’t at their best but cruised past the London club 2-1 with Paul Pogba grabbing the opener and Henrikh Mkhitaryan equalising for his side.
Romelu though didn’t see out the match unfortunately and because of his history of rarely asking to come off, fans thought the worst when it happened.
First diagnosis of Romelu Lukaku’s ankle injury: not one that will keep him out for weeks. A scan still has to confirm it, though. #mufc pic.twitter.com/v2mXUktFPH

Initial diagnoses normally indicate the extent of an injury so hopefully it’s correct in assessing that Romelu Lukaku will be fit for the FA Cup final.
The match at Wembley against the Blues won’t happen for a little over two weeks and so the former Everton man could just make it back in time.
Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial now both have an opportunity to impress in his absence and could throw their name in the hat for the final.
