Chelsea set to rival Porto in race to sign star forward

Chelsea are lining up a summer swoop for Stal Kamianske forward Orest Kuzyk, according to reports in Portugal.

Portuguese giants Benfica and FC Porto have been monitoring the 22-year-old for a while now but it looks like Chelsea are ready to swoop in for him.

The Ukrainian U21 international has scored nine goals in 28 games for his club this season and is being tipped as one of the best young players currently playing in Eastern Europe.

Kuzyk can play on both flanks or down the middle and whilst he’s unlikely to be a first-team regular at Chelsea, he could add some much needed depth to a squad that, at times, has looked a bit thin.

His versatility, if he arrives at Stamford Bridge, would make him a useful member of the squad, if Chelsea decide to keep him at the club.

The Blues have a history of bringing in young players and loaning them out, so that could be a possibility for the Ukrainian.
