Chelsea legend Ray Wilkins has passed away aged 61 after suffering a heart attack last week.
Wilkins was rushed to hospital last week from his home in Cobham after he collapsed and suffered a heart attack.
Doctors opted to put the former Chelsea player and assistant manager into a coma but it has been confirmed today that he has since passed away.
Wilkins, who played in midfield and captained Chelsea, won the Player Of The Year award during his time at the club in both 1976 and 1977.
The club legend also went on to become assistant manager at Stamford Bridge to Carlo Ancelotti, where he assisted in guiding Chelsea to both the Premier League title and the FA Cup during the 2009/10 season.
Wilkins also had managerial stints with QPR, Fulham and the Jordan national team before turning to punditry where he worked for both Sky Sports and talkSPORT.
