Chelsea target Isco has spoken of his unrest at playing for Real Madrid, whilst playing for Spain.
Isco grabbed a hat-trick as Spain demolished Argentina in a 6-1 thrashing this week.
The Spanish playmaker admitted after the game that he plays with freedom for his country, as he feels restricted in a Real Madrid shirt.
He feels that he does not have the confidence or backing of Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.
This admission comes as a massive boost to Chelsea, who are reportedly looking to sign Isco this summer.
Antonio Conte wants to strengthen his attacking options and sees Isco as a potential addition when the window reopens.
As quoted by TeamTalk, Isco said this:
In Madrid I don’t have the confidence a player needs.
The matches with the national team give me life. Here I have the confidence of the coach.
I want to show that I’m a good player. Lopetegui shows me confidence with the minutes he gives me.
Maybe I’m the problem in Madrid. I don’t know how to win Zidane’s confidence.
Isco has a £614m release clause in his Real Madrid contract, lasting until 2022, after he signed a new contract last year.
However, Real look like they would be willing to sell for far, far, cheaper in the summer.
