In recent weeks, Marcos Alonso has been linked with big-money moves away from Stamford Bridge in the summer, but the Chelsea left-back has spoken out about those reports.
Chelsea signed Alonso from Fiorentina in the summer of 2016 and became an integral part of Antonio Conte’s side when they made the switch to a 3-4-3 formation, emerging as a real goal threat from left wing-back in the process.
His form hasn’t gone unnoticed, as reports have claimed that PSG are among several clubs looking to sign the uncapped Spanish defender, as are Manchester United who are said to be readying a £70m offer. Barcelona and Real Madrid have both also been spoken about as potential destinations.
The 27-year-old has been asked about his future and revealed he’s not even considered the possibility of leaving Chelsea this summer.
I haven’t considered that possibility, I just try to give the best of myself to my team.
Chelsea continue to be linked with left-backs despite signing Emerson Palmieri as cover for Alonso in January, with Elseid Hysaj of Napoli said to of interest to Chelsea, but he is also wanted by Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Manchester United and Real Madrid.
