Arsenal target Malcom has claimed that he has an agreement with Bordeaux to leave the club in the summer to sign for a club of his choosing (via Sport Witness).
In what was a whirlwind January transfer window, one of the players most heavily linked with a move to Arsenal was Malcom.
The BBC‘s David Ornstein cited the player by name as an Arsenal target during the window but any potential deal fell through after Arsenal deemed the youngster “inexperienced.”
No developments expected today on Sanchez/Mkhitaryan. Still work to do as currently Mkhitaryan deal hasn't moved on & could yet go either way. Arsenal hopeful on that + Aubameyang. Talks continue. Malcom off – meetings held but eventually deemed too inexperienced #AFC #MUFC #BVB

Well, the transfer rumours certainly won’t be going away anytime soon after Malcom claimed that he will leave his current club Bordeaux in the summer.
“I’ve already said that I wanted to leave to pursue new objectives,” the Brazilian told the journalist Rafael Reis.
“But I also have to remember that Bordeaux helped me a lot. I gave them my word that I would continue to have more time to think about which club I will play for. Those three or four months will make a lot of difference.
“Yes, there’s a promise that I will be negotiated in June. I will choose the team, and Bordeaux will let me go.”
But Arsenal would face competition for the player should they want to make an attempt to sign him. Tottenham Hotspur reportedly met with the player but any potential move from them could be in doubt after their late deal for Lucas Moura.
Malcom is clearly a fine player and an exciting prospect but just isn’t in the position Arsenal most need to strengthen. However, should a player leave then the 20-year-old would be a solid signing for the Gunners.
