Reports suggest that Tottenham Hotspur are keen on sealing a deal for the Arsenal target, Bordeaux winger Malcom (via The Metro).
Arsenal have been linked with a number of players during this transfer window and it’s easy to forget just how many.
Just a few weeks ago it was all about Julian Draxler and Thomas Lemar but now, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan look the most likely signings.
Bordeaux’s 20-year-old Brazilian, Malcom was also rumoured to be amongst the latter but the BBC’s David Ornstein has claimed that Arsene Wenger has described the player as “inexperienced” and is looking elsewhere.
No developments expected today on Sanchez/Mkhitaryan. Still work to do as currently Mkhitaryan deal hasn't moved on & could yet go either way. Arsenal hopeful on that + Aubameyang. Talks continue. Malcom off – meetings held but eventually deemed too inexperienced #AFC #MUFC #BVB

That has seemingly opened the door for other clubs to circle the young winger with another Premier League side interested.
Reports in Brazil suggest that Spurs are now the club closest to signing the 20-year-old in a €40 million deal which could rise to €50 million.
It’s a blow to those Arsenal fans who were impressed with the young Brazilian and had hoped Arsenal would go back in for him in the summer. However, nothing is set in stone and we could yet see Malcom in an Arsenal shirt within the next couple of months.
