Manchester United’s bid to sign Brazilian star Lucas Moura from French side PSG has hit a bump after both sides can’t come to an agreement.
The winger was famously a target of Sir Alex Ferguson’s up until his retirement and reports claim that current boss Jose Mourinho values Moura just as highly.
PSG were the ones who snatched the then youngster from right under United’s nose after the club was unwilling to match the Parisian side’s valuation.
Mourinho has previously stated his intentions to bring in a wide-man to the club and the former Sao Paolo man meets this category of players.
However, the move may be at risk after both clubs are in disagreement of the details of the transfer and no one willing to compromise so far.
According to Telefoot, French giants PSG are only willing to part with Lucas if it means a permanent transfer to Old Trafford and not a temporary one.
Jose’s interest in a loan move makes considerable sense should another one of his transfer come to fruition this winter transfer window.
The Portuguese manager is reportedly interested in signing Malcom from Bordeaux but wishes to loan him back to the club to continue his wonderful season.
Malcom has recently put up on his Instagram story an image of him studying English, fuelling the rumours even further and so it’d make sense for the young winger to prepare for a transfer in the summer.
Manchester United meanwhile would still need a winger to add depth to the squad temporarily until reinforcements arrive and so Lucas Moura represents a viable option.
