Manchester United are set to endure another advance from Real Madrid on one of their star players but this time it’s on Paul Pogba.
The Spanish giants have been chasing goalkeeper David de Gea for several seasons now but it appears that they have set their sights on making the Frenchman their key target instead.
Pogba only moved back to United after a then world record fee was spent on him by Jose Mourinho in the Portuguese manager’s first season in charge.
That fee has since been surpassed several times now and it’s likely that should Madrid even attempt to sign the talented midfielder it will surely cost them far more.
Mourinho is unlikely to consider any bid for Paul regardless of the amount involved but it appears as though Zinedine Zidane’s side are unwilling to let up.
According to the Birmingham Mail, the Sun report that Real are considering a bid over £200m in the summer to finally land their man.
Real Madrid previously attempted to sign Paul Pogba once it became clear that he was going to leave Juventus, an act confirmed by the player himself.
However, the skilful midfielder publicly stated that he desired to return back to Old Trafford where his heart was set.
This makes the Madrid story less plausible but there’s no surprise their interested in a player who has rediscovered his best form once more.
The Spanish capital club are also going through clearly difficult times and it seems as though they’re ready to splash the cash once more after being somewhat reserved since Zidane’s appointment as manager.
