Spanish striker Alvaro Morata could be in line to return to the Chelsea line up against Bournemouth on Wednesday night.
As reported by the London Evening Standard, Antonio Conte has confirmed that Morata could be fit enough to start after missing against Newcastle, Arsenal and Brighton.
Speaking after the Newcastle victory, Conte confirmed that the striker will be back in training this week.
Morata probably [will return for the game]. He is going to start the training from tomorrow, but not with us. Tomorrow he is going to start for sure, but with an injury of this type you need a bit of time to recovery.
The summer signing has struggled for form in front of goal recently, he has not found the back of the net in the Premier League since the club’s Boxing Day victory over Brighton.
In his absence, Michy Batshuayi has started against both Brighton, where he put in an impressive display and Newcastle, scoring twice in the FA Cup.
The Belgian is likely to be demoted back to the bench as rumours about his immediate future continue to emerge.
Chelsea know a win on Wednesday could potentially move them up to second in the Premier League.
