Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has ruled out the possibility of Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal joining Chelsea in January.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Heynckes says no player will leave Bayern over the winter period as they look to seal another Bundesliga title.
There’s been no contact between Chelsea and Bayern. We won’t sell Arturo Vidal or any other player during the winter market.
Vidal has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge since Antonio Conte took charge.
It has been well documented that the Italian is a big admirer of the midfielder who he worked with at Juventus.
Reports have recently linked with Vidal with a move to Stamford Bridge, rumours that Conte addressed and once again spoke highly of the player.
It had been suggested that Bayern would command close to £50 million for the 30-year-old.
Chelsea have a strict policy on players over the age of 30 and it would be unlikely to see the board splash the cash on an ageing midfielder.
